I've just finished work on a brand new website for Animals and Friends. Check it out here:
| animalsandfriends.co.uk |
The band are about to embark on a month long tour of Germany but I've been promised some updates from the road so keep an eye on the site!
Last week Vinny, Martin and myself went down to London to meet Janice Long for a live session and interview on BBC Radio 2.
There's a listen again link (only available for the next couple of days):

I've been doing a bit of recording recently, last Monday I recorded two tracks by Duelling Pistols (whose drummer Mike Lambert also delivers music sessions with me for The Bridge), and tonight I am to record a song by One English Pound.
I will post the results as soon as bands are happy with mixes etc!
This week I completed work on the website for my good friend (and fiance of my sister) Nick Brokenshire; he is an exceptionally talented graphic artist, and the site consists of a blog which he updates regularly with works in progress, and a gallery page with a selection of his completed works.
In the future the site may have a shopping facility, but in the meantime if you're interested in his work you can contact him using the form on the site.
I have just launched a new website at http://www.thatscurtains.co.uk
This is another site for Bob Lees, of Peter Lees Fabrics in Wigan. The site contains nearly 100 designer curtains and fabrics at discounted prices. And when they're gone, they're gone, hence 'that's curtains'!!!
I just got that...The Preston-based Bridge Centre and Grange Park Gardens provide support to people with varying degrees of mental ill health, helping them to become fully integrated into mainstream society.
Alongside The Bridge Centre I have been leading (with my colleague and fellow percussionist Mike Lambert) a weekly music session. This is extremely rewarding work, initially we started as a percussion workshop but after a couple of weeks I picked up the guitar and now we have a few songs that we all sing together. The last session we performed Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen (made famous by Jeff Buckley).
There are five sessions left, and we are going to finish with a recording session, giving CDs to everyone who attends the session. Hopefully we will run this or a similar session in the future.
My current role at 53 Degrees has changed slightly, now as 'Digital Marketing Assistant' I am in charge of all content for the website (www.53degrees.net), developing media content for our sites, optimisation, protection of the websites, production of our weekly eflyer, co-ordinating online competitions and managing our various social networking sites.Pretty exciting and dynamic stuff, keep an eye on 53degrees.net for future developments!
